Despite murky weather and horrendous winds, the kind folks of Katy, Texas turned up to help lead the Festival of Trees into its second successful year! This years event featured over 90 custom designed Christmas trees and wreaths, 40 exhibitors, 5 food trucks and fifteen live performances over the two-day Thanksgiving weekend. When it was all said and done, the Festival of Trees raised roughly $20,000 for The Ballard House to continue its mission of providing free, temporary housing to patients and their families visiting the Katy area for treatment of life threatening illnesses. Over its first two years, Festival of Trees has raised nearly $100,000 for The Ballard House.
Breakfast with Santa
Held at The Ballard House on Friday morning, the Breakfast with Santa celebration is our kick-off VIP event where guests enjoyed a catered breakfast from Snooze, an AM Eatery against a snowy backdrop while enjoying the sounds of a local choir. Guests also enjoyed a more intimate setting to take photos with Santa.
On the weekend prior to Festival of Trees, tree and wreath designers converge on the Cane Island Observatory to design and decorate their trees on-site. More than 90 custom designed trees and wreaths were on display for the event!
